Savannah Marshall beats double world champion in Sweden

Savannah Marshall's first competitive outing of 2012 saw the Hartlepool middleweight cruise to an 18:13 victory over double world champion Anna Laurell.
The Swedish competition was GB Boxing's first test of the year and saw the team win three out of of seven contests.
Despite losing to Anthony Yigit, development squad boxer Sam McNess picked up the boxer of the tourament trophy for a strong performance. There were also wins for Chantelle Cameron and Zach Davies. GB coach Lee Pullen said: 'Despite the team losing by four bouts to three, there were some outstanding performances from Great Britain in this competition. 'Savannah's performance against a double world champion shows she is a force to be reckoned with and is a great forecast of things to come at the beginning of an important year.'
